Are your items handmade?

Yes. Authentic Whimsy items are handmade by me in small batches, with care and attention to detail. Some products pair handmade pieces with thoughtfully chosen components to create practical, everyday items. Each product description clearly notes what’s included.


Is Authentic Whimsy a small business?

Yes — Authentic Whimsy is a woman-owned hobby business. Items are made in limited quantities, and availability may change as new pieces are created. This allows me to focus on quality, creativity, and thoughtful design rather than mass production.


Do you offer custom orders?

At this time, I’m not offering custom or personalized orders. Everything listed in the shop is ready to ship as shown. This helps keep the process simple and ensures consistent quality.


How long will it take for my order to ship?

Orders typically ship within 3–5 business days, unless otherwise noted in the product listing. Because this is a small hobby business, processing times may vary slightly — but I always do my best to ship promptly.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information by email.


What shipping methods do you use?

Orders are shipped via USPS using the shipping option selected at checkout. Delivery times vary based on location and shipping method.

At this time, I ship within the United States only.


Can I change or cancel my order?

If you need to cancel or make a change to your order, please email me within 2 hours of placing your order. I’ll do my best to help if the order hasn’t already begun processing.

Because many items are prepared and packed quickly, I’m unable to guarantee changes or cancellations after this window. Once an order has shipped, it can’t be canceled or modified.

Shipping Disclaimer

Authentic Whimsy is not responsible for items that are delayed, damaged, or lost in transit after they have been shipped. Once an order is in the hands of the carrier, the customer assumes responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur.

This includes, but is not limited to, carrier delays, weather conditions, shipping mishandling, incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided at checkout, or other circumstances beyond my control.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

All sales are final. Because items are handmade and produced in small quantities, I’m unable to accept returns or exchanges. If there’s an issue with your order, please reach out — I’m always happy to help resolve genuine concerns.

How should I care for my handmade items?

Care instructions are included on each product listing. In general, handmade fabric items should be gently handwashed in cool water and air dried. Please avoid bleach or harsh detergents to keep your items looking their best.


Will the item I receive look exactly like the photo?

Each handmade item is unique. While I strive for consistency, slight variations in fabric placement or stitching are a natural part of the handmade process and add to the charm of each piece.
